Who else plays Amnesia?

I have played amnesia, didnt really get it though, played it for an hour and didnt see a single monster :/

Now, I haven't played Amnesia, but when I saaw a gameplay video of it the cockroaches walk backwards =p (Their backs face you when they're on you.)
